Defibrillator Training: 4 August

Defibrillator Training
Tuesday 4 August
7.30pm
Downe Village Hall

"The first training session for the defib is on Tuesday 4 August in the Village Hall at 7.30 p.m. Can you put the following on downemailing please:

Some of you may have noticed that the defibrillator has been commissioned and installed in the porch of the Queen’s Head, Downe. We are now offering two defibrillator training sessions so that we get as many villagers trained as possible in the use of the defibrillator. The training is not onerous and learning the technique of first aid along with training for using the defibrillator in an emergency is very useful.

The first training session for the defibrillator is next Tuesday 4 August at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall. The training will last for approximately 90 minutes and will be carried out by Paul Pearman, Senior Paramedic/Community Resuscitation Training Officer, London Ambulance Service, and you will receive a certificate at the end of it.

We have already received a number of bookings but there are a few places left. As numbers are limited we have been asked by the London Ambulance Service to ensure all those attending are booked in so that certificates can be prepared in advance.

If you would like to attend on Tuesday or book in for the next training session on 15 September also to be held in the Village Hall at 7.30 p.m. please contact downedefib@btinternet.com or ring me on 01959 573157.

Dave Witherspoon"
