'You may recall that a mausoleum was dismissed on appeal in February at the top of Old Hill. The reason for
dismissal was, if permitted, the use would be at the expense of local traffic conditions. Downe Residents' Association committee objected on highway grounds last time and will do so again.
There is now another application for:
Change of Use of existing buildings to mausoleum with associated landscaping, elevational alteration, hardstanding and parking for 37 cars.
The number of tombs has been reduced in this latest application to 690 from 1000.
The application can be viewed online at bromley.gov.uk Application no: 15/00981
The site is immediately adjacent to our boundary. It should be noted that Bromley raised no objections on Highway grounds, which of course conflicts with the Inspector's dismissal on these grounds.
Your support would be appreciated by writing to Bromley either:
-online using the comment box on the planning website,
-by email to planning@bromley.gov.uk
-or by letter
and by quoting the application number to:
