Following last week's presentations in Downe and Cudham, a number of residents received an e-mail from Gigaclear this week referring to the fact that fibre broadband was not available and offering the services of a satellite broadband provider instead!

I have contacted Gigaclear, and they have apologised for sending this e-mail out in error. They will be sending out a correction e-mail.

So, in summary, ignore the e-mail referring to satellite broadband (if you received one), and continue to lobby friends, neighbours etc to register interest on the Gigaclear website. According to the Gigaclear website, they have received 37% of the required registrations of interest, so we still have some way to go (to reach their 100% target - which is between 40% and 50% of properties in Downe & Cudham).
